Life as a CPI Field Service Technician

As a Service Technician at CPI, you will enjoy a daily routine that involves applying technical expertise, peer collaboration, diagnostics tasks and implementing security practices. You will deliver exceptional customer service through issue resolution and preventative maintenance.

  • Able to commit to and meet project deadlines 

We will support you to deliver these responsibilities 

  • Service, upgrade and perform preventative maintenance on company equipment 
  • Travel by vehicle on a daily basis to client sites 
  • Work with branch employees to satisfy client needs 
  • Address customer service requests within the specified contract response time 
  • Extended Hours Coverage periods and ‘On-Call’ duty where applicable 
  • Safeguard and Maintain a balanced vehicle stock parts inventory 
  • Upkeep and cleanliness of company issued vehicle including scheduled service intervals 

These are mandatory – please check 

  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and clean driving record  
  • Impeccable Integrity.  Must be able to gain access to highly secured environments 
  • Occupational licenses may be necessary to obtain depending on territory/accounts 
  • Required to travel, drive and be on the road servicing equipment at clients 90% of the time. 
  • Available for periodic travel to Corporate Office for training classes. 
  • Able to lift, push or carry a minimum of 50 or more pounds such as large money counting machines and parts in and out of client sites. The job requires kneeling, bending, twisting, lifting and squatting to service equipment on the ground up to 60% of the time.  
  • Hand and wrist dexterity needed to turn screwdrivers and place parts and equipment.  Phone or desk work about 10% of the time doing computer work, bench repair work, parts stocking, tracking service calls and setting up appointments.
  • Ability to stand for long periods up to 75% of the time while servicing some equipment.
